Why Do You Want to Be Successful?
I have my own reasons — I want to free myself from my student debt. I want to have a passive monthly income. I want my soon-to-be husband to be here as our children grow, instead of off somewhere, being somebody’s slave. In short, I want freedom, both for myself and for our family.
But what are your reasons?
Beyond freedom, I have some big plans. I have some huge goals — including starting my own architecture school where anybody can come for a few weeks and learn how to build their own house by actually building a house (instead of staring at a computer all day and listening to lectures on ideology as they did in my graduate architecture program).
What are your big plans?
I also want to go to India to visit Roshan. She’s the little 5 year old girl I sponsor through Children International. See, I told myself that every time something really good happened in my life, I would celebrate by sponsoring a child. And I kicked off that promise by sponsoring Roshan.
She sends me letters that someone else translates into English. It’s adorable. It makes me feel like a good human being. It also fortifies my decision to work every day at getting closer and closer to these goals I have set for myself.
What are you doing?
